Studenti Ħarsien Soċjali (SĦS), is a fantastic organisation set-up to help represent social work and social policy at the University of Malta (UoM).
Rev. Kim Hurst was recently contacted by SĦS President David Baldacchino, who suggested putting out a call to all UoM students to help Foodbank Lifeline by donating food items or money.
From the 17th to the 24th of October 2018 SĦS will be collecting non-perishable foods from those interested in lending a helping hand.
If you are a University of Malta student and would like to donate food or money, items can be left at Room 125, Humanities B, FEMA Building.
Rev. Kim Hurst was delighted to hear from a student organisation and set up this collaboration. A great example of getting students involved in caring for the community. We are always looking for new ways to reach the public and advise them of the important charity work we do.
In fact, we’re very open to discussing new ideas that can help promote Foodbank Lifeline in any way possible. From events like fun races, to cake-bakes – we’re open to suggestions. So, if you have an idea please do get in touch with us.
