Donation of 2,000 Boxes – M. Demajo Group

Foodbank Lifeline Foundation has joined forces with M. Demajo Group.

Prior to the launch of our Reverse Advent Calendar, M. Demajo Group generously donated 2000 large cardboard boxes to Foodbank Lifeline. This means that any individual, family, school or company can visit the foodbank located in Old Bakery Street, Valletta and pick up their specially branded Reverse Advent Calendar box. We can also deliver boxes if you’re looking for a lot of them.

Chief Operating Officer of M.Demajo Group, Pier Luca Demajo, was delighted to give his contribution to this year’s Reverse Advent Calendar: ‘What Reverend Kim and her team are doing is something exceptional. We, as a Maltese company, are proud to be supporting this initiative. We hope that this will encourage other actions whereby people in need can be assisted and supported.’

Reverend Kim Hurst, our Chairwoman added: ‘This is an absolutely wonderful and very practical donation for the Reverse Advent Calendar campaign. Last year we had a wonderful response, but we realised it could be quite difficult for people to source bags and boxes to carry their Reverse Advent Calendars in to Valletta or the Quicklets and Zanzi homes branches. Through help of M. Demajo Group it will be much smoother logistically for people to collect food and for our team to transport the food for sorting. Thank you so much.’

Is your school or business looking to participate this campaign, but you don’t have the time to pick up one of our specially branded boxes? Why not message our Reverse Advent Calendar Co-ordinator, Ross Yarnold, on +356 9950 5425, or send us an email at help@foodbanklifeline.com, and we will find a way to deliver our boxes to you!

Seeing that we only have a limited supply of 2000 boxes, we will distribute them on a first come first serve basis. If you do not manage to get your hands on one of our boxes, you can still participate in our Reverse Advent Calendar campaign. All you need to do is find a box strong enough to hold 24 non-perishable food items.

Once you’ve filled your RAC box, you can drop it off at any one of Quicklets and Zanzi Homes branches, located all around Malta. If this would not be possible, you can also drop off your Reverse Advent Calendar boxes to our premises in Valletta. We are open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:30 to 19:00, and, Fridays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00. And of course, if your donation is sizeable, we are more than happy to come and collect.

Foodbank Lifeline Foundation will not be able to continue operating without your help. So, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your continued support and thank you especially to the team at M. Demajo Group.

This is such a heartwarming initiative! Are the boxes still available? If anyone is struggling to keep track of their charitable giving, I highly recommend the Benevolence Buddy app. It's great for organizing donations and setting reminders block breaker
