An appeal to schools who’d like to get involved in helping us this Christmas

We all know how hard it is to try and focus when our stomachs start grumbling. Research over the years has shown that children and adults who are hungry will not be able to focus properly at all, affecting their studying, exams and general working lives.

Can you imagine what it’s like for people who can’t access enough food and spend entire days at work, or school without eating anything. If it was you, would you be able to cope?

Foodbank Lifeline Foundation helps people of all ages who experiencing a crisis, resulting in situations where they might not be able to afford something we all take for granted – food.

To most of us Christmas is a time of receiving presents, being around our loved ones and ignoring the weighing scale, whilst filling our stomachs with mountains of food. Unfortunately, this happy kind of Christmas won’t be experienced by everyone.

For the second consecutive year we are running our simple Reverse Advent Calendar campaign. An easy way to help people facing crisis situations.

We are appealing to all the primary and secondary schools in Malta to join our cause.

To participate in our Reverse Advent Calendar all you need to do is let us know.

Once you’ve gotten in touch, we’ll deliver some boxes and posters to your school.

Then if every classroom has a box and every day, from the 1st to the 24th December, your students place one non-perishable food item in it - at the end of the 24 days, each class would have prepared a 7-day food pack ready to feed people who desperately need help.

Please help us.

We don’t ever want to turn anyone away again, unlike what almost happened in 2017.

Contact us soon. We’d love to hear from you.
